Mary Kennedy comes from the first family of NASCAR, but he spent Tuesday evening helping needy families in Might.
Kennedy, 23, visited sick a child Tuesday morning at the University attached to Kansas Hospital and made a connection along with several patients there.
"It was neat to go and see some of the males there, " Kennedy said. "One of the kids actually wrote us a note later. We're going to get a couple of them out to our motor vehicle race. I'm really looking forward to this task. It's something that's really electrifying and cool to do. "
Kennedy spent the afternoon helping group more than 150 boxes for Harvesters' BackSnack program, which provides a book bag of food for more than 20, 500 local children to take home weekly.

"To go out there and get the primary pole of the year with Toyota (at Atlanta) was really special, but for get a win with them and get an absolute win at Kansas and get my favorite first win in the trucks model would be really neat. "
